This coin is not listed in MPR. Please note that the reverse reads ADVENTVS AVG and not ADVENTVS PROBI AVG like in MPR no. 298. Also, the wreath ties are regular, not divergent like on MPR no. 298.

It is a very interesting, highly unusual and completely unlisted hybrid between the 1st EMMISSION (obverse die) and late phase of 3rd EMMISSION (reverse die) according to Pink's classification (or a hybrid between serie 1.1 and Serie 3.1 according to Guillemain's emmission classification).

Theoretically the coin can be listed as RIC 154 as Nero.imp correctly indicated.

However, in fact RIC 154 is a mistake because most variants listed in RIC under no. 154 do not exist in reality. The coin shown in this post is probably the first example of a RIC 154 which I have ever seen even though RIC 154 supposedly is a common coin with "C" as rarity grade!

In reality, the coin shown here is likely an unicum and clearly is a hybrid of different emmissions, i.e. not a coin of a regular issue, as RIC 154 could erroneously suggest.
