DOCUMENTATION OF COIN FINDS I. PHOTOGRAPHIE

Besides the identification, a photographic record is necessary for the reliable documentation of coins. This includes the photography of the coins and the editing of the images to remove the background. This short text describes how this work can be carried out with DigiCam Control, IrfanView, Gimp, ImageMagick and Bimp. In order to edit a large number of images in a short time, various batch methods are described.
